The mission of the Kentucky Autism Training Center is to enhance supports for persons with autism by providing information and technical assistance to families and service providers across Kentucky.

WHAT'S NEW?

The Kentucky Autism Training Center is celebrating the 10th anniversary of our Autism Institute! To acknowledge this milestone and address the diverse needs of the autism community we are hosting three special topic seminars in 2009. Please mark your calendars for the following dates.

April 24-25, 2009 (Fri. – Sat.)
"Perspectives on Autism: Supporting the Family and Empowering the Individual"
Target Audience: Family Members and Caregivers of Individuals with Autism, Individuals with Autism
Proof of Attendance will be available.

June 17-18, 2009 (Wed. – Thu.)
Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication-Handicapped Children (TEACCH) Presents:
Day 1: "Fundamentals of Structured Teaching"
Day 2: "Practical Strategies for Students with High Functioning Autism"
Target Audience: Educational Professionals
CEU's will be available, pending approval.

July 29-30, 2009 (Wed. – Thu.)
Dr. Peter Gerhardt and Sherry Moyer Present:
"Improving Employment Outcomes at any Age"
Target Audience: Middle & High School Educators, Vocational Professionals and Employers
CEU's will be available, pending approval.

All three events will be held at University of Louisville's Shelby Campus!
